Ben Nielsen

Ben Nielsen began working as a taxidermist in 1999 and quickly established himself as a professional in his craft. Ben has competed since 2002 and his work is constantly recognized by his peers, including multiple best-of-category awards, three best all-around taxidermist and three awards for the best mule deer in Utah. He was also honored with the breakthrough award with a life-sized mule deer. Ben began sculpting in 2018 and his work was immediately sought after. An avid outdoorsman, Ben loves that his career gives him the opportunity to showcase his artistic abilities with wildlife. He also enjoys interacting with the many sportsmen who trust him with taking their animal from what is often a once-in-a-lifetime hunt, and creating a work of art that will be admired for generations. Ben lives in Pleasant Grove, Utah and enjoys the support of his wife Mary and his sons Daniel and Bridger, who all share his love for the outdoors.
